Key benefits of auto window film application
Privacy
When the windows of your car are completely transparent, everyone from the outside can sneak-peek in your car. In traffic jams, people love to look around as they have nothing to do — including looking into other people’s cars. This isn’t always pleasant. But with car window tinting, the personal space is all yours.
UV protection
It is well known that UV radiation is dangerous for health. We don’t feel it, but it invisibly affects our health. Ultraviolet rays are harmful and are a risk factor causing skin cancer. This reason alone is enough to get automotive window tinting. Protect yourself and your loved ones!
Road safety
- Properly tinted glass reduces glare that can affect the driver’s view of the road, whether the blinding headlights or the bright sun
- Tint makes driving easier and safer by significantly decreasing the level of tension from the driver’s eyes
- If gravel hits your window, for example when driving on a highway, the window film can protect against chips and cracks, saving you money on windshield repairs. After the tint film is installed on your car, the window has three layers: glass, glue, and film. This increases the ability of the window to withstand impact from debris
- In the event of an accident, ordinary tempered glass can shatter into small fragments and can injure people. In the event of glass shattering, tinting films help to hold the glass in place to reduce flying shards of glass
Heat reduction
Oh, that familiar feeling of getting back into the car that has been standing in the sun… As if you are jumping straight into the heated oven? If you live in a hot place, that feeling will last until your air conditioning kicks in properly. Window tint blocks solar heat energy from entering your car. Give yourself the benefit of using a comfortable and cool vehicle during any part of the day.
Protection of the electronic equipment
Expensive equipment inside your car doesn’t appreciate overheating or being baked in the sun. Tinting your windows helps to prevent devices from overheating, helping to extend its working lives.
Longer lasting interior
Over time, UV and heat are slowly affecting your car interior: colors fade, and expensive materials such as leather and wood deteriorate. Window tinting helps to prevent this from happening.
Increased level of your car’s security
Another benefit of tinting your windows is that if you leave something valuable in the car, it will be less visible from the outside. In addition, would-be thieves will not be able to see expensive audio equipment or other devices left or installed in your car.
Reduced energy consumption
Installing film on your windows helps to prevent the interior of your car from heating up. This means you don’t have to use your air conditioner as much, which in turn improves gas mileage.
Some people opt for tinted car windows for a special look. For others, it is a matter of comfort and protection against UV rays, heat, and glare. No matter which group you belong to, you definitely are on the right page — we offer you high-quality services, ticking the boxes of each of these categories!
Choose your VLT correctly
VLT, or visual light transmittance, is the amount of light that comes into your vehicle through its windows. The lower the percentage, the darker the tint. Same with the sun glasses: if you need them very dark, but the ones with 3-18% VLT, if you need it average, go for 35-50%, if you want just a slightly tinted surface, choose 45-80%.
Tinting rules vary in each state. And they are even different for different windows of your car! Some states allow 35% VLT for the front side windows, for some VLT can come up to 50%.
Moreover, there are certain medical exemptions that allow you to install window tint which is darker than normally permitted by state laws in case you have a particular health condition. Don’t forget to check the laws in your state before choosing a tint for your car! Check out the regulations in your area on the official Tint law site or give us a call on 773-455-0467 or 312-212-0493!
