VLT 35%  is the minimal level of privacy when the shapes of the objects could still be seen, 15% — the good level of privacy, 5% will make you almost invisible from the outside.  But no matter what the percentage is, in the daytime the sun would be reflected from it, making it uncomfortable to look inside from the outside. In the night, though, if the light is on — privacy film loses all of its protective properties.

It would totally depend on the blinds. Some of them might be of super high quality and design — so, we guess, in this case, it is a matter of taste and preference. But the main benefits of window tint in comparison to blinds are:

• 1. Tinting is cheaper than most blinds
  2. You don’t need to put it on and off, it’s permanent
  3. Tinting does provide the same level of privacy as the blinds — but only during the daytime. On the other hand, if you install privacy film on your home windows, you constantly will have the possibility to look outside without any obstructions (which you cannot do if the blinds are shut).

The combination of these three factors makes a lot of our clients aim for both — tinted windows for the day and blinds for the night. We can’t argue that blinds provide an extra level of coziness — and we’re totally up for that.
